Hundreds of Mourners Attend Teen Burned to Death Funeral, 'Anonymous' says a Gang is Behind the Killing

Hundreds of people, including friends and family members, attended Jessica Chambers' funeral last Saturday. Chambers, 19, was burned to death last week in Courtland, Mississipi.

Questions linger as Chambers was finally laid to rest. Police have yet to name a suspect on the brutal killing, and have admitted that they are still looking for more evidences that will point them to the right direction.

Chambers' aunt, Deborah Sanders, says they will do everything in their power to apprehend the suspects. She also said that she and the deceased teen's mother were with her when she passed.

The 19-year old cheerleader was found burning alive inside her car on a rural Courtland road. The suspects poured gasoline all over her and then set her on fire. Ninety-eight per cent of her body was already burned when 911 responders arrived at the scene. Chambers died at the hospital.

A press conference was held after the incident, and DA John Champion feels like they are still very far from discovering the truth. Champion said they had talked to many people in hopes of resolving the case.

"The Courtland community is a small community so we feel like somebody out there knows something or has heard something and has just not come forward yet. In all the years I've been doing this, this is an absolutely horrendous, horrendous case," Champion said.

On Dec. 12, a "hacktivist" group who call themselves Anonymous tweeted that a local gang was responsible in the Jessica Chambers killing.

"Local Gang responsible #OperationJessica Engaged #JessicaChambers We Are Legion We Do Not Forgive We Do Not Forget," Anonymous tweeted using the Twitter handle @OperationJessicaC.

"#JessicaChambers We are digging stay tuned folks #OperationJessicaEngaged," Anonymous tweeted again after an hour.

According to the group, local authorities are "protecting" the gangs and the police have left key evidence at the crime scence. Anonymous have also allegedly hacked other gang members' Twitter accounts and shared photos on the social media site.

Local authorities have yet to release an official statement about Anonymous's allegations and tweets.
