Thousands of Christian Media and Ministry Professionals to Attend NRB15

Next month, thousands of Christian media and ministry professionals will make their way to the NRB 2015 International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, TN, to network, to discover new resources, and to expose themselves to the latest tips, trends, and insights in their field of work.

Every year, the NRB Convention draws a wide range of participants, including radio and TV station owners and operators, pastors, church media professionals, radio and TV program producers, college educators, students, filmmakers, Web and mobile developers, social media managers, marketing representatives, and ministry staff members.

"The convention provides a venue for Christians in media and ministry to find connections, resources, and insights that will help them be more effective in reaching people and making an impact," said NRB President & CEO Dr. Jerry A. Johnson. "With the changes we're seeing technologically and culturally, the annual NRB Convention has become a must-attend for more and more Christian communicators."

A highlight of the annual gathering is the bustling Exposition, the largest marketplace dedicated to Christian media professionals seeking to harness the power of electronic media to spread the Gospel. Showcasing their products and services will be around 200 companies, ministries, and organizations, including broadcasters, nonprofits, educational institutions, publishers, media agencies, and broadcast equipment and software companies. And this year, for the first time, admission to the Expo floor will be free for those who register.

Then there are the speakers, of which there are more than 60. NRB15 speakers will include David Platt, George Barna, Mark Burnett & Roma Downey, Steve Forbes, Eric Metaxas, Alistair Begg, Michael Youssef, Mike Huckabee, Chuck Norris, Joel Rosenberg, John Bolton, Ambassador Ron Dermer, Tony Perkins, Jim DeMint, and Alan Robertson of Duck Commander. Topics will include radio, church media, marriage, the sanctity of human life, the challenges of Islam, and defending free speech.

Also, after a successful first year, the Digital Media Summit will be back with cutting-edge leaders in the areas of Web, mobile, content strategy, social media, and analytics, including representatives from Facebook and Twitter. The all-day, innovation-packed event will cover the latest tips, trends, and insights in today's increasingly digital world. It takes place on Wednesday, February 25.

In addition, on Monday, February 23, NRB15 will debut the Film & Entertainment Summit, which will bring together entertainment professionals, distributors, filmmakers, and executives for movie and entertainment-related keynotes, panels, seminars, networking events, Q & As, and pitch-a-thon. Topics will include "The Process: Advice from Hollywood about Getting Your Project Produced," "Successfully Distributing and Marketing to the World," "Successful Writing and Directing for the Millions," "How to Succeed in Mass Audience Movies, Television, & Entertainment (Without Losing Your Soul)," and "How to Succeed in Hollywood (Without Losing Your Soul)."

NRB15 will be held February 23-26, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN. The Exposition will officially open its doors Tuesday, February 24, at 11 a.m.

The theme of the convention is "Proclaim," based on Psalm 105:1, Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name; proclaim His deeds among the peoples, and meant to promote evangelistic, media, and cultural engagement in line with the mission of NRB to advance biblical truth, promote media excellence, and defend free speech.
