"The United Prayer Movement of Local Churches for the City and for America," hosted by the Korean Christian Council in America (KCCA) and Jesus Awakening Movement of America (JAMA) began its first prayer movement at Grace Ministries International (GMI) from Jan. 22 to 24.

With the theme, "Heal Our Land," the three-day prayer movement featured speakers including Pastor Joon Kwon from Community Church of Seattle, Pastor Ki-Hong Han from GMI, Pastor In-Soo Jung from Korean Community Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, and Pastor Nam-Soo Kim from Promise Church of New York.

On the first day of the event, Pastor Joon Kwon spoke a message titled, "People Who Bridge the Gap between the Lord and the World," and a time of prayer followed, during which attendees prayed for personal repentance, restoration in families, and restoration of churches.

Pastor Ki-Hong Han preached a message titled, "Revival is the Only Way to Live," the following morning service. The same night, Pastor In-Soo Jung spoke on, "A Life of Revival, a Church of Revival," and was followed by a time of prayer during which attendees prayed for schools and culture in the U.S., and revival in the nation.

Of note, Assemblywoman Young Kim (R-Fullerton) attended the same night and shared her testimony.

Pastor In-Soo Jung also spoke the following morning service, on a message titled, "We Must Listen Anew to the Voice of the Lord," and Pastor Nam-Soo Kim spoke the same night on, "A Better Hometown." During the third night session, attendees prayed for the leaders of the U.S. and Korea, and for missionaries all over the world.

Pastor Nam-Soo Kim spoke on Sunday morning, during the last session of the event.

This prayer movement began on the vision to continue the fire of prayer on behalf of the spiritual awakening of the U.S. that started at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on Nov. 11 at "The Line in the Sand" prayer movement.

The movement will continue on to various regions throughout the nation, including in: Texas, at the Korean Central United Methodist Church of Dallas, in February; New York, at Promise Church of New York, in March; Washington, D.C., at Open Door Presbyterian Church, in April; Chicago, at Lake View Presbyterian Church, in May; and Seattle, at Community Church of Seattle, in June.
