The NCIS team appears to be continuously giving the show's avid fans and viewers deeper perspective on the personal lives of its characters as featured in the recent upcoming episodes, scheduled to be aired on February 10 and February 17, according to the spoilers published in TV Guide.

While the fourteenth episode of NCIS Season 12 focused on Tony DiNozzo's time in military school as a teenager, the show's fifteenth installment this season will be taking Mark Harmon's character, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, to the spotlight.

Although this may not be a highly unusual direction taken by the show as he is the widely-recognized fearless leader of the NCIS team, this upcoming episode will provide fans and followers a closer and more detailed look on what really transpired during the murder of one of Gibbs' ex-wives.

The fifteenth episode, titled Cabin Fever, will focus on many consequences following the heart-rending demise of Gibbs' second wife, Dianne Sterling. This will shed light on the effects of her passing to the lives of the men significant in her life and to her daughter, Emily Fornell.

Gary Glasberg, the showrunner and producer of the show, shared that "there are some really brilliant moments between Mark Harmon and Joe Spano." He described that Gibbs will be spending some time with Spano's character, who plays the part of FBI Special Agent Tobias Fornell, in the former's cabin.

While staying in the cabin, the two will be seen trying to deal and "hash out some of the issues they're both facing because of that loss." In addition, Glasberg shared that Emily, who is the daughter of Fornell with Dianne, will be making an appearance in the show. He explained that everything the two will discuss is "all part of what Fornell is carrying right now. He's having trouble, and Gibbs is there as a friend."

According to Cartermatt.com, this episode will provide an avenue for Harmon to show off an impressive performance outside his role as team leader for the NCIS crew.
