As their hit 90s song goes, "Backstreet's back... alright!"
The popular boy band Backstreet Boys recently appeared on Loose Women to talk about their new movie called Show 'Em What You're Made Of as well as their new music.
The boys, now middle-aged men with families of their own can still sing really well but can no longer dance and move like they used to during the height of their careers.
But they're not going to let this stop them. AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell are going to perform 150 tour dates around the world over the next three years.
And they are not just going to sing old favourites. In fact, the band has new material up their sleeves.
"Our music is always evolving. We're getting ready to go back into the studio later this year," they said.
As for the documentary, it will provide an in-depth look at their successful careers from the mid-1990s until they made their last album in 2013.
It will be an honest revelation of their lives, and give their fans a glimpse into the innermost struggles of the Backstreet Boys.
"If you're going to do a real documentary, you have to ignore the cameras," McLean told The Independent. "We've aired our dirty laundry over the past 22 years, from me going to rehab to Brian's surgery in 1998, but there's a lot that our fans don't know."
"We were trying to go at this movie from a raw, uncensored perspective," Richardson also said. "We were not trying to make some fluffy promotional piece."
Carter added that they simply want to give fans something new.
The men have been together for two decades, and they credit their success not only to good music but also solid friendships. If they did not get along as well as they did, the Backstreet Boys might have disbanded earlier on.
"Communication was probably the biggest saviour for us. We all came from individual backgrounds, but when you're in a team, it's not about 'I', it's about the 'we'," they revealed. "There's a lot of give and take, you have to become almost selfless when you're in a group."
The Backstreet Boys has recorded a dozen albums and sold more than 130 million copies worldwide. Their success was undeniable since they managed to fill amphitheatres wherever they went and broken countless records.
