HTC One M9 Release Date: New Flagship Already On Pre-Order In Germany, Aims To Take One Step Ahead Of Samsung

Just a couple of days after it was announced at the beginning of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the new HTC One M9 flagship is now available for pre-order in Germany.

According to a report by GSM Arena, interested buyers of the HTC One M9 can now sign up for pre-order in Germany via the company's HTC Advantage. Previously available only in the US, the HTC Advantage allows users to be enjoy free overnight shipping on individual orders made before 14:00h.

In addition to the free shipping, HTC Advantage also provides free assistance in transfering data from the consumers' previous phone to their new HTC handset. The is also a free delivery, pick up and return for defective items. 

Announced earlier this week, the HTC One M9 is the company's answer to Samsung's Galaxy S6, which feature high-end specs. While most manufacturers have opted for the QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution as early as last year, the Taiwanese manufacturer still picked Full HD (1920 x 1080). 

The decision will help in improving battery life and power-saving capabilities on the new HTC One M9.

Other specs include the latest Snapdragon 810 chipset from Qualcomm. It boasts an octa-core CPU - four Cortex-A57 cores running at 2.0GHz, and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz. 

Also on board is a 3GB RAM for impressive multi-tasking capabilities, Adreno 420 to support graphics-intensive applications and processes, and 32GB of internal memory.

The camera department is composed of the 20.7MP primary camera - the highest resolution shooter HTC has ever included in a smartphone - and a 4MP front shooter. Other features include a 2840mAh battery, a microSD card slot that can support up to 128GB of memory, and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

Based on the announcement, the HTC One M9 will officially hit shelves by the end of this month.
