Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V Price Revealed, Release Date Coming Soon?

Samsung has just unveiled its new Galaxy Tab 3 V in Malaysia.

The budget-friendly tablet, which is priced at RM499 or roughly about $134, is Samsung's update for the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite.

According to Lee Jui Siang, the vice president of Samsung Malaysia Electronics, the Galaxy Tab 3 V was designed by the company for budget-conscious consumers and those who are looking to buy their first tablet.

"Consistent with Samsung's People-Inspired Innovation philosophy, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V is designed with the first-time tablet user in mind," the executive said in a promotional statement according to PC Mag.

"From its attractive price point to its intuitive navigation, this tablet offers users the full reassurance from our legacy of quality devices," Siang added.

The latest release from Samsung comes in black and white colors. It weighs about 322 grams and has a 7-inch WSVGA display screen with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. The tablet has an overall size of 193.2 x 116.5 x 9.7 mm and supports two 2-megapixel front and rear cameras.

Out of the box, the tablet runs using the Android Kitkat 4.4 system. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad Core processor with 8GB of storage space and 1GB of RAM. Also, the tablet has a micro SD card slot which can add 32GB of storage to the device.

 The Galaxy Tab 3 is Wi-Fi-ready and has 3G connectivity.

The tablet can be purchased in authorized retailers and through Samsung Experience Stores. The telecom operator Maxis also offers the device with a two-year plan for RM239 or $65, according to Android Headlines.

Samsung has not yet issued a statement regarding the arrival of the Galaxy Tab 3 V to other regions. However, as pointed out by the tech news site, the company will most likely ship the tablet to other countries in the near future.
