Christian athletes Tim Tebow and Manny Pacquiao met recently in the Filipino boxer's gym, and the former Jets quarterback was so impressed with the encounter that he described Pacquiao as an "inspiration."

Tebow shared his meeting with Pacquiao on his Instagram page, with a photo of himself and Pacquiao being interviewed by reporters. "Awesome being with my Filipino and Christian brother," said Tebow.

The feeling of respect and admiration seems to be mutual since Pacquiao also shared a photo of himself with Tebow on his Instagram account and wrote, "Good to be with my brother in Christ."

Pacquiao is currently gearing up for a fight with fellow boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas on May 2. The huge fight is all anybody can talk about since Mayweather is currently undefeated and is the five-division world champion.

When Pacquiao started his boxing career, he was not a Christian. He was known for his notorious gambling and womanizing, much to the chagrin of his wife Jinkee, but he turned his life around after meeting God. Not only did he become a devoted and caring husband, but Pacquiao also learned to have a spirit of charity.

He even had a dream where he heard the voice of God and saw two angels. "When I heard the voice of God I felt like I died," he told The Blaze. "I was in the middle of the forest and I was kneeling and praying with my face on the ground and then I saw a light, a very white light and I heard the voice."

He described the angels as having "white, long, big wings" and said that God showed him "about the end of time."

"I'm really thankful that God has given me this kind of a heart," he said.

While he is not boxing, Pacquiao busies himself with Filipino politics since he is currently a congressman. Pacquiao said that it is beyond his comprehension why God has decided to bless him with an illustrious boxing and political career, so he has decided to proclaim God in everything that he does.

Tebow is just the same with his career and his faith. While he is currently not playing for the National Football League (NFL), he is busy with the Tim Tebow Foundation, where he helps children with cancer or Down Syndrome experience the little joys in life.

One of The Tim Tebow Foundation's pursuits is putting up a Timmy's Playroom in hospitals where children can have fun and play and forget about their troubles.
