Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of the founding leaders of Hamas, rejected Hamas ideology, turned to Christianity, and recently sought asylum in the United States. In an interview with CNN, Yousef revealed the ways that Hamas indoctrinates children and the true intentions of Hamas to not only take over Israel, but every civilization.

"In the mosques, Hamas told us that without shedding innocent blood for the sake of the ideology, we will not be able to build an Islamic state. They were preparing us from the age as young as five years old. This is the ideology that Hamas was feeding us," he explained.

He went on to explain that it is close to impossible for someone to realize the truth about Hamas and choose to leave, especially as most of the members have been indoctrinated at such a young age.

"As you see in my case, I had to lose everything just to say no to Hamas. And today when I look at the children of Gaza and I know what they're fed, I know they have no choice."

Yousef added that the intentions of Hamas is not only to take over Israel.

"Hamas is not seeking coexistence and compromise. Hamas is seeking conquest and taking over," he said. "The destruction of the state of Israel is not Hamas' final destination. Hamas' final destination is building the Islamic State on the rubble of every other civilization."

Although Yousef was trained to be one of the potential future leaders of Hamas, he said he chose to leave Hamas because of its indiscriminate killing of innocent people.

"Hamas does not care about the lives of Palestinians, or the lives of Israelis, or Americans; they don't care about their own lives. They consider dying for their ideology a way of worship. How can you continue in that society?"

Yousef recently gained much publicity as he published a book called Son of Hamas, which has also been created into a documentary film called The Green Prince. He had been working as an informant for Israeli military for 10 years and is now living in the U.S. in political asylum. His father was recently arrested in June during the search for the three Israeli teenagers who had been kidnapped and killed by Hamas in the West Bank.
