As the cover story for the May issue of 'Good Housekeeping', celebrity couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard shared their secret to connecting with each other.

Citing couples therapy as their main approach to make their marriage stronger, Bell explained that undergoing therapy should not be deemed as an embarrassing process. She said that being honest in looking at one's imperfections is a healthy way of attaining relationship goals.

The 'Frozen' star also shared having a bad temper and described her marriage with Shepard with Paula Abdul's video 'Opposites Attract.'

"But he [Shepard], having worked through a variety of emotional issues to get sober, said, 'This isn't going to work. This isn't how I'm going to communicate for the rest of my life'", Bell explained.

The 'House of Lies' actress also opened up about arguing and disagreeing with her husband, calling their approach in settlings things as "healthy."

Meanwhile, Shepard shared his insight on reading 'Blink' by Malcolm Gladwell; the 40-year-old actor talked about a University of Washington researcher who conducts interviews with people and concluding that having contempt for one's partner will eventually lead to separation.

According to the father of daughters Lincoln and Delta, he and Bell should be able to watch out in becoming disdainful every time they argue. Shepard said he once made the following statement to his wife: "If I ever see you roll your eyes at me, we need to hit pause and figure out what's going on."

Unpredictable things have brought on noteworthy lessons for Bell in keeping up with her husband and toddler kids. The 34-year-old actress admitted that she was not sure whether she wanted to have children.

However, her perspective on motherhood significantly changed after giving birth to Lincoln, who is now two years old. The 'Veronica Mars' actress' second pregnancy then gave her doubts as to whether she would still be capable of tending to her firstborn.

Nonetheless, after delivering Delta through C-section, Bell shared that she has been able to keep up with both of her kids and is having the time of her life. The actress also opened up about taking it easy with the 17 lbs. that she would need to lose in order to return to her original weight.

"I'm going to let it come off naturally," she says. "I refuse to compare myself to anyone anymore. I've done it; it didn't make me feel good."
