EDM DJ Steve Aoki and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti are working together to bring "LAoki' to Downtown Los Angeles. Free concert tickets were made available online at the mayor's website, but are now sold out. Fans have the option of purchasing V.I.P. tickets for $100. Aoki will perform the concert on May 16 at 6 p.m. It is located on Broadway street between 4th and 6th streets.

Aoki is an 39-year-old American electro house music artist. He is famous for his live shows. "LAoki' is a part of a city-wide initiative to inform people and gather volunteers for the Volunteer Corps. Aoki will perform songs from his latest album, "Neon Future II." The album features his single, "Darker Than Blood." He has worked with famous music artists such as Will.I.Am, Lil Jon, and Iggy Azalea.

"My whole career was built in Los Angeles, so it only made sense to do the biggest show of my life on the streets of downtown, just blocks from my label Dim Mak's homebase," Aoki said in a statement. "Making it a free show is my thank you to the city that's given me so much, but I also felt it was important to encourage others to give back as well."

This is not the first time that Aoki has used his fame and talent for charitable deeds. He worked with Garcetti last year. Aoki is also the CEO of Steve Aoki Charitable Fund, a nonprofit organization. The Fund donates money to humanitarian organizations around the world.
