Natalie Portman, Woody Allen, George Miller and Mark Osborne are just four of the famous directors presenting their latest films at the 2015 Cannes International Film Festival in May. Hollywood stars Cate Blanchett, Emma Stone, Matthew McConaughey, Naomi Watts, James Franco, and Rachel McAdams are some of the famous celebrities lined up to star in the 2015 films.

The Cannes Festival is an annual festival that occurs in Cannes, France. It invites filmmakers from all around the world to participate in an advance film screening. There is a competition portion of the festival and out-of-competition screenings.

Romantic dramedy "Irrational man' stars Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix. There will be screenings of actress Natalie Portman's first directed film "A Tale of Love and Darkness.' Pete Docter's latest Pixar animated film "Inside Out' will also be featured at the event. Mark Osborne's film adaptation of French novel "The Little Prince' is voiced by actress Rachel McAdams and actor James Franco.

Fantasy action film "Mad Max: Fury Road' stars Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy. It was directed by George Miller. Mystery drama film "Sea of Trees' stars Matthew McConaughey, Naomi Watts, and Ken Watanabe. It was directed by Gus Van Sant and written by Chris Sparling.

Romance drama film "Carol' stars Cate Blanchett, Kyle Chandler, and Cory Michael Smith. It was directed by Todd Haynes and is based on the novel "The Price of Salt' by Patricia Highsmith. Action drama film "Sicario' stars Emily Blunt, Benicio del Toro, and Josh Brolin. It was directed by Denis Villeneuve. "Louder Than Bombs' stars Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Ryan, and Gabriel Byrne. It was directed by Joachim Trier.
