iPad Pro Rumors & Specs: New Dimensions & Features of Apple Tablet Leaked

New information regarding the features and external design of the rumored iPad Pro has surfaced.

Based on the leaked, the upcoming device from Apple might sport a 12.9-inch display and could be powered by the A8X processor.

The design rendering of the iPad Pro was first spotted by French tech news site Nowhereelse.fr. Based on its date, the design was crafted on December of last year.

The rendering indicated that the rumored tablet will measure 305.7mm x 222.6 mm x 7.20mm. Given the large dimensions of the tablet's shell, the device might sport a 12.9-inch display. However, other sources suggest it might have a slightly smaller screen at 12.2 inches, according to Mac Rumors.

Another noticeable feature of the design is the absence of holes for various ports and buttons. Unlike the previously leaked images of the iPad Pro shell, the latest design does not have holes for volume controls, headphone jack and the power button. It also does not have allocated spaces for the top and bottom speakers of the device.

However, Apple Insider pointed out that the design features ports for the USB-C as well as the Lightning connector.

Adding the latter feature could be a big plus for Apple since some consumers were unhappy with the 12-inch Retina MacBook because it only supported the USB-C. According to some early users, they returned the MacBook shortly after purchasing it because they couldn't find USB-C adapters.

As to its other features, the iPad Pro might run on the triple-core A8X processor with 2GB of RAM. However, other sources noted that it could be powered by the A9, Apple's next generation processor that will be used in the iPhone 6's successors.

The iPad Pro is also expected to carry Force Touch technology. If this is true, then this feature will enable the device's screen to respond to different levels of pressure from fingertips and provide users with more control options.
