According to a poll taken on the UEFA website, 61% of voters guessed that Barcelona would win. 10% of voters thought it would be a draw between the two teams. 29% believed that Bayern Munich would win the match.

Messi's first goal was made after Juan Bernat gave the ball away on the left to Bayern. Daniel Alves met Messi as he kicked the ball past Manuel Neuer. It was Messi's 76th goal in the Champions League. The goal put Barcelona in the lead.
His second goal was made three minutes after his first. Messi went picked up the ball from the right and gave a left-footed drive through players. He went against Boateng and left him on the ground. It was Messi's 77th goal in the Champions League.
Neymar made one goal after a one-on-one with Manuel Neuer. Neymar confounded Neuer as Messi assisted. Neymar kicked a low shot past the goalie and made the final winning goal. It was Neymar's 7th career goal in the UEFA Champions League.
