The first ever trailer for the highly anticipated "Steve Jobs' movie was unveiled last Sunday night during the finale of period drama series "Mad Men.'
With the movie trailer being eagerly awaited for the past months, fans can now have their first glimpse of Michael Fassbender as he takes on the lead, playing the iconic Apple co-founder.
Based on the biography written by Walter Isaacson and a screenplay written by Aaron Sorkin, "Steve Jobs' has been set for an official release on Oct. 9, 2015.
The minute-long trailer starts with a shot of Jobs (Fassbender) with his back to the camera as he looks on to an empty auditorium. Such theater is assumed to be the Flint Center in Cupertino, California where the late innovator introduced the first Macintosh among Apple's shareholders in 1984.
As the camera focuses on Jobs, a voiceover from Fassbender talks about the company's computer, saying: "At 9:41, planet's gonna shift on its axis line forever. Two most significant events in the twentieth century: Allies win the war and this."
Following this statement, the screen narrows on the Apple CEO and the voice of Seth Rogen, who plays the company's other co-founder Steve Wozniak, can be heard.
"You can't write code, you are not an engineer," he tells Jobs. "What do you do?"
Jobs wittily replies: "The musicians play the instruments; I play the orchestra."
After the conversation, Jobs further emphasized his belief in himself- that he is more capable of knowing what customers want as compared to what customers know for themselves.
"I sat in a garage and invented the future, because artists lead, and hacks ask for a show of hands," he says.
Kate Winslet , who portrays Apple engineer and Jobs' close friend Joanna Hoffman, can be heard next.
"I love that you don't care how much money a person makes," she says. "You care what they make, but what you make isn't supposed to be the best part of you."
The scene then transforms from an empty theater to a loud crowd as Jobs takes the stage and he tells Apple CEO John Sculley, portrayed by Jeff Daniels: "You're the only one who sees the world same way I do."
In response, Sculley tells Jobs that he, the Apple's CEO and co-founder, is the only individual who sees the world using his own perspective.
The words "Steve Jobs" appear on the screen followed by a flash, and Jobs can be seen onstage supposedly at a later time in his life with the crowd loudly cheering him on.
The trailer concludes with Jobs in high spirits as he looks over the audience. Finally, the words "October 9" are shown, the film's official release date this year.
