This good deed created a worldwide phenomenon that drew in 25,000 supporters from San Francisco and nearly two billion participants on social media - including U.S. President Barack Obama himself, CBC News shared.

In appreciation, the Scott family established a Batkid Fund to help support the other pursuits of Make-A-Wish Foundation and turn other kids' dreams a reality.

The documentary will be released in select theatres on June 26 with top Hollywood actress Julia Roberts producing and starring in the feature film adaptation of the documentary.

Batman is a fictional comic book superhero published by DC Comics, and he was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger. He actually made appearances in Detective Comics way back in May 1939 and was originally named "Bat-Man."

He gained worldwide fame when DC Comics decided to introduce him in his own comic book title called Batman back in 1940. His alter ego is the American billionaire, business magnate and philanthropist Bruce Wayne, who lost his parents when he was just a young boy.

Because of that horrific experience, Bruce vowed revenge on criminals and was determined to find justice for his parents, so he trained himself both physically and intellectually then took on the bat theme to implement his vigilante plans.

As Batman, Bruce has been called "the Caped Crusader," "the Dark Knight," and even "the World's Greatest Detective."

He lives in Gotham City and there are a few who are privy to his real identity, including his loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth and his sidekick Robin, the police commissioner Jim Gordon, and in some versions, sometimes even Batgirl.

Batman has a lot of enemies, and those included in his "rogues gallery" are the Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Two-Face, Bane, and Scarecrow. Some of his lesser-known villains are Mr. Freeze, Ra'sal Ghul, and Poison Ivy.

Batman does not really possess any supernatural powers and that is why he optimizes his intellect, detective skills, science and technology, martial arts, and wealth to fight crime.
