Sharon Osbourne, one of the most notable talk show hosts of today, announced that she will be undergoing a month long break from the stress and demands of her work following her reported collapse in her California home on May 22, according to People.

Citing "extreme exhaustion" as the reason for the breakdown of her health condition, The Talk's stalwart host will be retreating to a month of rest and relaxation. In a statement provided by her representative, it was pointed out that the decision was highly recommended by professional experts especially in light of her "grueling schedule last week in New York and Toronto" which she had to face only mere months after various diseases plagued her body.

"Upon her return she collapsed from mental and physical fatigue," according to the official statement from the host's reps. "Her doctors report that she is suffering from 'extreme exhaustion' and assessed that she most likely returned to work too soon after being hospitalized recently for pneumonia," they continued. "Sharon has been advised and has agreed to take a month hiatus to recover fully from these recent events," they added.

Her reps went on to say that the recent past events might have contributed to her health issues. Prior to the recent collapse, Osbourne was struck down by pneumonia following her hernia operation. "Unfortunately, my momma had surgery last week, she had a hernia and didn't expect it to be as painful, and then she got pneumonia, so please send her your well wishes because she really, really is over being sick," Kelly Osbourne, The Talk's host daughter, said earlier this year.

However, this was not the first time Ozzy Osbourne's wife faced severe illness. She famously battled and won over the deadly colon cancer. In 2012, she was diagnosed to be more in danger of contracting breast cancer compared with other women due to a gene she carried. Hence, she decided to undergo double mastectomy.

"Sharon would like to thank everyone at The Talk for granting her this time off and to all friends, family and others for their incredible support," the reps disclosed. The host has been in show since 2010 along with Julie Chen, Sheryl Underwood, Sara Gilbert and Aisha Tyler.
