George Clooney may have had numerous successful films under his belt as well as various acting awards throughout his years as an A-list Hollywood star but it appears that the 'Tomorrowland' actor is still haunted by a certain character he played in the past - Batman.

"I think since Batman that I've been disinvited from Comic-Con for 20 years," Clooney shared with in 'The Graham Norton Show' recently. He then went on to say, "I see the comment sections on all you guys. I just met Adam West there [referring to behind the NYCC main stage] and I apologized to him." He added, referring to the infamous costume he donned during the 'Batman and Robin' film, "Sorry about the nipples on the suit. Freeze, freeze, I apologize for that."

In the 1997 film, 'Batman and Robin,' Clooney played the iconic Bruce Wayne, otherwise known as the Batman. Playing alongside his character was Chris O'Donell as Robin, or Dick Grayson. While Clooney perceives this movie as a failure, 'Batman and Robin' actually had a star studded cast.

The movie, which was directed by Joel Schumacher, featured big Hollywood names such as Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze or Dr. Victor Fries; Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy or Dr. Pamela Isley; and Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl or Barbara Wilson. Gaining a rating of 3.6/10 in IMDb, the film had this synopsis: "Batman & Robin try to keep their relationship together even as they must stop Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy from freezing Gotham City."

Further fueling the humor in the comedic talk show, Clooney shared that accepting the role in 'Batman and Robin' following his successful stint in the hit American TV series, ER, was a miscalculation on his part. He disclosed, "I thought at the time this was going to be a very good career move. Um, it wasn't." The actor then went on to describe his controversial costume as "brutal," referring to the suit's weight of roughly 60 pounds. Needless to say, moving was a difficult task for the 'Ocean's 13' star.

Furthermore, Clooney felt then that the film they made led to the destruction of the iconic caped crusader. Fortunately for fans and followers of Batman, this proved to be wrong as Christopher Nolan eventually took the helm and came up with the widely appreciated take on the comic book favorite with Christian Bale as the lead actor.
