OnePlus Two Updates & Specs: Rumored Handset Appears in Second Benchmark Test, Shows Off High-End Specs

The OnePlus Two, the rumored "flagship killer" handset and successor of the One smartphone, appeared once again in another benchmark test. This occurred days after its rumored specs were unveiled through a different benchmark test conducted by GeekBench, Master Herald has learned.

In the second test, however, which was carried out by a Chinese tech site, the OnePlus Two sported the model number A2003. In the previous GeekBench test, on the other hand, the device was model number A2001. The original OnePlus One device is A0001.

Like what was revealed by GeekBench, the Chinese benchmark test noted that the Two handset packs a Snapdragon 810 processor from Qualcomm, has 3GB of RAM and is equipped with the Adreno 430 graphics processing unit.

The smartphone also sports a full HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and has a 5-megapixel front camera.

However, the Chinese website also listed different specifications that contradict what GeekBench revealed. For instance, in the new benchmark test, the OnePlus Two is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera instead of the previously revealed 16-megapixel one, NDTV reported.

The varying information may simply mean that either OnePlus changed its mind regarding the handset's camera specs or that the two benchmark sites worked with different prototype models of the smartphone. But as speculated by NDTV, this could probably mean that OnePlus is preparing to launch two variants of the OnePlus Two.

Aside from the specs, various sources are reporting that OnePlus may unveil its Two handset on May 28 during the same launch event for its HydrogenOS for the Chinese market, according to BGR.

Although the company is preparing to release its own operating system, the OnePlus Two is still expected to run on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

As for its price, the upcoming handset might have a retail price of around $400. This is roughly based on the estimate provided by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei when he previously teased that the OnePlus Two might be powered by the Snapdragon 810.
