This weekend, "Jurassic World' is set to make its premiere on traditional and IMAX screens all over the world. Viewers in the larger format are in for a surprising treat as Marvel Studios' upcoming film "Ant-Man' will also have airtime for a 6-minute preview.
Marvel has not announced as to what will be shown or whether the sneak peek will be a series of clips or an extended single sequence. Nonetheless, those who are watching "Jurassic World' in IMAX this weekend will have a first look at the most detailed footage yet of the Peyton Reed-helmed superhero film.
Several clues have also been previously dropped by the film's cast and crew, such as a surprise villain and perhaps an appearance from Earth's Mightiest, such as Anthony's Mackie Falcon as well as other Avengers.
The upcoming installment will be putting forward two of the characters who were Ant-man based on the comic books. These include Scott Lang and the hero before him, Hank Pym.
In the comic books, Scott was described as a thief who stole Ant-Man's suit to save his own daughter's life. After catching him in the act and instead of allowing Scott to tell the authorities about his own mischief, Hank Pym had allowed him to become the new Ant-Man.
For the film adaptation, Scott (Paul Rudd) will remain as a thief who steals the superhero suit from Pym.
Scott's ex-wife and daughter will also appear in the "Ant-Man' movie. Although Marvel will not be releasing a sequel before 2020, Rudd has already been in negotiations to reprise his role as the shrinking superhero in the highly-anticipated "Captain America: Civil War' in 2016.
Aside from Rudd, Michael Douglas will be portraying the original Ant-Man, Pym. As a brave and bold scientist, the character has already taken the identities of Giant-Man, Goliath, Yellowjacket and The Wasp.
Evangeline Lilly will also star in the movie as Janet Van Dyne; such character was referred to as Wasp in the comics as well as Pym's heroic partner and former wife.
Other cast members include Judy Greer as Scott's ex-wife, Maggie; Abby Ryder Fortson as their daughter, Cassie; and Bobby Cannavale as Scott's pal and Maggie's new husband, Paxton.
John Slattery will also reprise his role as Howard Stark, who made an appearance in "Iron Man 2', along with Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter.
"Ant-Man' has been set to hit theaters on July 17, Friday.
