Olympic gymnast Gabrielle Douglas graduated from high school on Thursday, June 11. Douglas, also known as "Flying Squirrel" for her famous artistic gymnastic routines won two gold medals at the 2012 Olympics. She is officially a member of Oak Park high school's graduating class of 2015. Douglas took to twitter to share the news with fans.

"yo girl just graduated!!! wut wut," tweeted 19-year-old Douglas. The message included eight colorful emojis that expressed her excitement on her newest achievement.

Prior to Thursday's graduation, her friends at school showed their support for her through social media. One friend asked Douglas to wear her gold medal to graduation. Another one suggested that the graduating class "hit a USA chant" for Douglas.

Oxygen announced in March that Douglas will star in their latest reality television show series entitled, "Douglas Family Gold.' The show will follow Douglas as she prepares to compete in the 2016 Olympics at Rio de Janeiro. Douglas is a Christian and has often told the media that she believes that her success comes from God. Her first name Gabrielle means "woman of God."

"God has given me this amazing God-given talent, so I'm going to go out and glorify His name," said Douglas in an interview with Charisma Magazine. She also added that she prays before every competition.
