The ongoing debate regarding sexism in Hollywood films has seen a number of celebrities express their dismay over the current situation and the latest star to voice out her opinion is none other than "Suicide Squad" star Cara Delevingne.

In an interview with Empire Magazine, the Victoria's Secret model reveals how dismayed she feels about the prevailing discrimination against women in Hollywood. Taking cue from her upcoming film, "Suicide Squad," the star points out that the success of women in the movie industry heavily depends on their bodies. To illustrate her point, Delevingne takes the plight of female superhero actresses as an example. She states that the costumes these characters are instructed to wear merely serves to highlight their physical attributes and sex appeal rather than on the true essence of their powers and stories.

"Female superheroes are normally naked or in bikinis," Delevingne says via Yahoo. She adds, "No-one would be able to fight like that. Wonder Woman, how the hell does she fight? She would be dead in a minute."

Despite this notion, Delevingne admits that her role is "Suicide Squad" actually differs from the typical Hollywood films. While there are only three women among a cast of ten main characters, the actress believes that they are given the most remarkable parts, referring to herself as the Enchantress, Margot Robbie who plays Harley Quinn and Karen Fukuhara who portrays as Katana. In addition to the three ladies, Viola Davis was added to the cast as Amanda Waller whom the actress describes as incredibly intense that even "Superman would quake in his tight," according to Cinema Blend.

"There are only three girls in ['Suicide Squad'] but in my opinion they have the best roles," the model turned actress shares. Delevingne adds, "Generally though, superhero movies are totally sexist."

In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, the "Paper Towns" star shared just how thrilled she is to be part of such an "exciting" superhero film despite not being familiar of this type of movie prior to "Suicide Squad." She said, "I've never been so excited to see a film and I'm actually in it." She added, "I wish I could tell you about it at all. The movie is going to be the best thing in the world. The camaraderie on set is insane."

Other members of the "Suicide Squad" are Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jared Leto as The Joker, Jai Courney as Boomerang, Will Smith as Deadshot, Adawale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.

"Suicide Squad" will hit theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
