The "Power Rangers" movie has drummed up a lot of excitement, particularly among 80s and 90s babies, and now more information has been revealed about the movie reboot that is sure to get fans even more excited for its big screen debut.

According to Heroic Hollywood, the "Power Rangers" film will open on Earth during the cretaceous period, where Zordon and the Power Rangers are battling off Rita Repulsa. In the end, Zordon had to detonate a black hole just to defeat her.

Sixty five million years later, audiences will be introduced to new heroes by zooming in on Hart Automotive, a garage found in the back of a car dealership in Angel Grove, California. There, people will meet 16-year-old Jason who receives a text message from his friend Billy.

Next scene centers at Dave and Busters, where 16-year-old Zack is seen playing a supershot arcade style basketball game and scores 139 points. He gets a lot of admiration from the crowd, and when an assistant basketball coach tries to recruit him for the school basketball team, he arrogantly declines, saying that there is no "I" in the word team.

The next character introduced is another 16-year-old named Kimberly, who is a perfectionist in every way. Her father owns Hart Automotive, and she is seen sneaking in to the garage to make out with Jason, only to get caught by her own father.

Trini, on the other hand, is a bit of a loner and she is first seen doing yoga in the dessert. The brains of the group, Billy, is seen in his bedroom. He receives a text message from Jason informing him that they are on their way.

So what are the teenagers up to? Apparently, Billy discovered a dinosaur fossil at a decommissioned base and they want to dig up further and explore. They find a power coin that belonged to the Power Rangers, and because of a cosmic disturbance, the teenager receives powers unlike any they have seen or experienced before.

This is good timing, because Rita Repulsa awakens from the black hole and starts her quest to find gold to recreate GOLDAR, and she begins by robbing several banks.

Zordon is concerned that the new Power Rangers are now five indigenous life forms on Earth, since Power Rangers are taught to fight ever since they are children, but now they only have 71 hours to stop Rita Repulsa. He hopes that the coins chose their new owners well because they have no other options.

How will the scenes unfold? Fans will have to wait until January 13, 2017 when "Power Rangers" finally hits theaters to find out.
