"Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe replaced Nylon magazine's front desk receptionist for one hour and encountered singer Joe Jonas while on the job. Nylon published a hidden camera video segment on its official YouTube account on Wednesday, July 15. Radcliffe described the experience as "terrifying."

Radcliffe was given directions to always make sure that the newest issue of Nylon was out and that he is smiling. When asked by visitors what he was doing at the New York City headquarters, the actor said that he was preparing for his next role. The actor replaced the regular receptionist Lauren Adler and described himself as the "cut price" and "much less efficient version" of her.

"It's already proving to be the hardest thing I've ever done. I have no idea really what to do now," said 25-year-old Radcliffe. "I can't, like, I have no idea how you do this. This is like, people come in and you need to know what they need. It's terrifying."

The actor, who is a newbie at the receptionist role said he was "struggling" and "cracking" under the pressure. He was also asked to keep track of packages, pick up phone calls, connect calls by using an extension number, and hand people stamps and a bathroom key. During the 60 minutes at front desk, Radcliffe found himself wishing for people to not "come in" the doors.

"Daniel Radcliffe as @NylonMag's receptionist. I didn't go very easy on him. full video at nylon.com," tweeted Jonas on Wednesday morning.

Towards the end of the video, Jonas is seen walking up to Radcliffe and asking "are you new?" Jonas acts like he does not recognize the actor and then asks if Radcliffe is from the England office, to which Radcliffe responds by saying "yes, I'll go with that." Jonas says that he is late to a meeting with a woman named Marissa. When Marissa does not pick up a phone call, Radcliffe leaves the desk to track her down in person.

"It was Daniel Radcliffe sitting at the front desk. Yes, that Daniel Radcliffe. Confused and more than a bit dazed, I stared for a moment before accepting this fact and returning to my desk," wrote an anonymous Nylon employee on the video's description. "I noticed another sight. It was an intern, crying. My peripheral vision was not failing me that day. They were tears of shock and, I think, joy. I looked around and I saw a lot of smiling, blushed faces."

How the workers respond to the star-studded affair? Some workers responded by keeping their cool, while others took selfies with the actor. Other workers complimented Radcliffe's role in "Harry Potter.' Fans commented on the YouTube video by calling Radcliffe "precious," "very cute," "too brilliant," "a gem," and "incredible."
