Moto G (2015) Launch & Specs: Online Retailer Reveals Full Specs of Upcoming Motorola Handset

An online retailer based in Spain has listed the full specifications of Motorola's Moto G Gen 3 handset days before its rumored launch.

Aside from its features, the website also revealed the device's price and images.

According to Spanish online shopping site fnac.es, the 2015 edition of the Moto G can be purchased for EUR 199, or around $215. However, as noted by NDTV, the site acts as a third-party seller of its featured products. This means that the actual retail price of the handset might vary once it is officially introduced to the public by Motorola.

As for its specs, the retailer mentioned that the Moto G Gen 3 features a 5-inch LCD HD display with a resolution of 1280x720pixels. It is powered by the 1.4GHz quad-core Cortex A53 processor from ARM.

The latest version of the Moto G packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage which can be pushed up to 128GB through a microSD card.

For its camera configurations, the device is equipped with a 13-megapixel main shooter paired with a 5-megapixel front snapper.

The handset comes with the stock Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and runs on a 2470mAh battery.

Despite appearing on an online retailer's site, Motorola has not yet announced the exact features of the handset. Also, like previous reports based on rumors and speculations, the details listed by finac.es should not be considered as the actual or final specs of the Moto G 2015.

Some reports noted that the device is expected to come with a 5.2-inch display and will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 610 chipset.

Also, in a recent report by GSM Arena, the Moto G Gen 3 has entered its testing stages as indicated by Zauba, India's database for import and export products. According to the site, the Moto G 2015 features 2GB of RAM, not 1GB as mentioned by the Spanish retailer.

The discrepancies could either mean that some reports are a bit inaccurate or that Motorola is actually planning on releasing multiple versions of the Moto G Gen 3.

Hopefully, these speculations will be cleared up once the handset's manufacturer releases official information regarding the device.

As to when the public can expect to see the Moto G 2015, various sources have speculated that Motorola might unveil it during an event scheduled for July 28. Over the past few days, the company has been sending out invites for an event which will be simultaneously held in New Delhi, New York, London and Sao Paolo.

Based on the theme of the mysterious event, which is about people's special relationship with their mobile devices, it seems Motorola is gearing up to introduce a new smartphone.
