Now that the new Marvel movie "Ant-Man" has introduced a new dimension called the Quantum Realm, it looks like the studio is slowly building up the story of one of its future undertakings - the mystical "Doctor Strange," which would star British actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) President Kevin Feige is already building up hype for the movie. During an interview with Screen Rant, the Marvel exec said, "With Strange, it is a classic Marvel origin story because he's got one of the best origins ever. And it's our opportunity to take that left turn into the supernatural."

He then explained that the definition of "supernatural" varies, since they like the idea of playing with alternate dimensions. "The way of travelling through dimensions and travelling through other realms is something that we think is very, very cool... playing with the perceptions of reality," he said.

Feige did not expound on his statements, but people already get the idea that he was referring to the Quantum Realm. It was where Dr. Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man lost his wife Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp while they were carrying out a S.H.I.E.L.D. mission.

Pym explained to Scott Lang, the new Ant-Man that the Quantum Realm is a dimension where space and time does not exist, and that there is no going back from it. Despite his grave warning, Lang decided to go there just to save his daughter from the villain Yellowjacket (played by Corey Stoll).

Lang attended to go back to his normal size while in the Quantum Realm, but failed after several attempts. In the end, he heard his daughter calling out to him and used one of Pym's enlarging weapons to go back, and he was finally successful in his attempt.

"The truth is, there is so much in 'Ant-Man": introducing a new hero, introducing a very important part of technology in the Marvel universe, the Pym particles," said Feige. "Ant-Man getting on the Avengers' radar in this film and even - this is the weirdest part, you shouldn't really talk about it because it won't be apparent for years - but the whole notion of the Quantum Realm and the whole notion of going to places that are so out there, they are almost mind-bendingly hard to fathom. It all plays into Phase Three."

Ant-Man will be making an appearance in the next Marvel movie "Captain America: Civil War."
