A new official trailer for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2' was released online this Thursday with two minutes and 30-seconds of footage.
The final installment in the dystopian film franchise, which is drawn out from Suzanne Collins' best-selling trilogy, follows the story of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) who leads a final stand against the Capitol and the tyrannical President Snow (Donald Sutherland).
"My dear Ms. Everdeen, make no mistake, the game is coming to its end," Snow says menacingly in the trailer, which can be viewed below.
The trailer also sheds light on battle sequences that involve street fighting, mutant creatures in sewers and violent surges of deadly black goo.
For "Hunger Games' fans who have already gone through the books, they are fully aware that certain main characters will meet an unfortunate end before the dystopian story ends.
"Mockingjay- Part 2', which makes its way to cinemas on Nov. 20, will also determine the love triangle between Katniss and the two men in her life- Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale (Liam Hemsworth).
"What I like about these movies is that they take the entire world, and they condense it into this one continent, and they take all of these issues and one girl, who took it in her hands," Lawrence shared.
Movie studio Lionsgate has greatly presented "The Hunger Games' franchise at San Diego's Comic-Con over the past four years, generating buzz among the tens of thousands of film, TV and pop culture fans who attend the convention.
At this year's event, franchise stars Lawrence, Hutcherson and Hemsworth were joined by Willow Shields, who plays Katniss' sister Prim in the movies, as well as director Francis Lawrence and producer Nina Jacobson. They opened up about how filming the final installment of the franchise had been highly emotional.
"The changes that happened in my life from doing these movies are so permanent that I don't think I'll ever really say goodbye, it'll always be a part of me," Lawrence said.
'The Hunger Games' franchise, which has already pulled in a total gross of $2.2 billion at the global box office since its first film was released in 2012, paved the way for the Oscar-winning actress to become one of Hollywood's most singled out actresses of her generation.
Aside from "The Hunger Games' movies, the 24-year-old star already won multiple awards for her performances in 2012's romantic comedy-drama film "Silver Linings Playbook' and the crime drama movie "American Hustle.'
