Some of the features and images of an unknown smartphone from Huawei has been leaked before its rumored September launch at the upcoming IFA event.

According to the latest leak, the next device from the Chinese tech firm will sport Force Touch technology.

Details about the handset were revealed by famous leaker Evan Blass, also known as evleaks on Twitter. Blass noted that the device will be introduced by Huawei on September 2 as part of the company's IFA presentation.

However, the leaker did not mention the name of the device. Instead, he only speculated that it might come from Huawei's D series of handsets.

Blass also said that it will have Force Touch, a technological concept that allows smartphone displays to detect and respond to the varying pressure levels of different finger gestures on the screen.

This concept was first unveiled by Apple through its Apple Watch and is expected to be one of the prime features of its rumored iPhone 6S or iPhone 7.

Going back to the leak about Huawei, 9to5Google reported that aside from Blass' revelations, images of the device during its AnTuTu benchmark tests were also posted online by Twitter user Steve Hemmerstoffer.

Based on the images, the device has a screen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. It also houses a 13-megapixel main camera and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core ARM processor. The tech site also noted that the operating system of the device is the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

According to Phone Arena, the device, with model number CRR-ULOO, is being called either the Huawei Mate 7 Plus or Huawei Mate 7 Mini by several Chinese news sites.

However, 9to5Google maintained that the leaked device is probably not a Plus version of the Mate 7 because of its 4.6-inch screen. Given the fact that the Mate 6 has a display size of 6 inches, the mysterious handset could actually be a mini version of the smartphone.

Aside from these handsets, followers of Blass an Hemmerstoffer speculated that the images might actually be referring to the long-rumored Nexus device from Huawei. During that past months, it has been reported that Google has entered partnerships with LG and Huawei to create two different Nexus models.

However, since the images only show the prototypes of the device and Huawei has not yet issued an official statement regarding the leaks, these new details can only be classified as rumors for now.

Hopefully, more information regarding the mysterious smartphone will be reveale within the weeks leading up to this year's IFA event.
