While Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard took a brief trip back home to Arkansas on Friday, Aug. 14, the couple immediately returned to Central America only two days later.
"Excited to be back with family for the weekend! #IsraelLovesGrandma," the former '19 Kids and Counting' star shared in a photo of her little tot, Israel, as he greeted his grandmother, Michelle Duggar, at the airport.
Jill also took to Instagram and posted a family photo of herself, Derick, and their baby boy, captioning it with: "Traveling! :-) #lovemyfamily @derickdillard."
However, the Dillard family was not able to spend more quality time together with their respective families as the new parents had to return to El Salvador for their missionary work. The Christian couple also had a photo taken on Sunday, Aug. 16, on a plane.
"Traveling back to Central America with these two! #joyduggar #carlinbates," Jill wrote as caption for the photo with her younger sister Joy.
It remains unclear if Joy will be spending several weeks or months with the Dillards in Central America or if she is only there for a short trip.
The Dillard family officially announced their decision to take on missionary work abroad in late June after Jill admitted that she had been one of the victims in her brother Josh Duggar's molestation scandal.
This weekend, Jill and her sister Jessa were also spotted in New York City where they reportedly filmed footage for TLC's documentary about victims of sexual abuse.
E! News reports that the commercial-free TV special titled "Breaking the Silence' is scheduled to be aired on Aug. 30.
TLC has partnered up with several organizations for the sexual abuse documentary, including Darkness to Light. An official statement from the nonprofit's website confirms that Jill and Jessa's segment of the TV special was filmed in NYC.
However, the sisters will not be answering questions and discussing personal issues in the documentary; they will merely be shown as they head to the "Stewards for Children" event to attend a seminar featuring abuse survivor David Moody.
"A compelling part of the documentary will be a look inside a training session held in New York City earlier in August that included Jill and Jessa Duggar," the press release stated. "Through viewing the Docutraining® that features survivors, community members, and experts as well as participating in a facilitator-led discussion, attendees are able to see how they can better protect the children in their lives through practicing the five steps of prevention."
Both Jill and Jessa will appear in "Breaking the Silence' on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
