‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’ Gameplay & Release Date: Upcoming Game to Feature ‘Realistic’ Difficulty Level and ‘Dead Ops Arcade’

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

A new leak regarding the upcoming "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" from Treyarch and Activision revealed a new difficulty mode for the game.

The revelation was made after the official trophy list for the game was leaked out.

According to a post by gaming site Exophase, the next installment in the "Call Duty" first-person shooter franchise will have a total of 48 trophies or achievements. Twelve of these can be obtained by completing the entire game or certain mission and modes on Realistic difficulty level.

The difficulty setting of previous "Call of Duty" titles only featured Recruit, Regular, Hardened and Veteran. This means that this will be the first time in the franchise's history that a "Call of Duty" game will get a new difficulty setting.

The site, however, did not explain what gamers can expect when taking on the game on Realistic mode. Gamespot speculated that to further challenger the gamers, developer Treyarch may have removed the health-regeneration feature of the game for this setting.

Hopefully, Treyarch and Activision will release more details regarding the Realistic setting within the weeks leading up to the release of the game.

Aside from the addition of a new difficulty level, the list of trophies also revealed that the fan-favorite "Dead Ops Arcade" will make a comeback in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." This mode first came out as a hidden mini-game that gamers have to unlock in 2010's "Call of Duty: Black Ops."

The first "Dead Ops Aracade" features a different gameplay than the one in the main game and is a twin-stick top-down shooter. It is composed of various rounds or levels set in different maps and the main objective of gamers is to survive the waves of zombies. During the game, players can pick-up and unlock various power-ups, weapons and vehicles that they can use to take out the undead.

It is not yet clear, however, if "Dead Ops Arcade 2" of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will feature the same elements.

The new "Call of Duty" game is scheduled to hit stores on November 6 and will be available for the Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles.

But, as reported by VG247, the last-gen console versions of the upcoming game will not have a campaign mode due to certain technical limitations.

"'The Black Ops 3' PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will feature multiplayer and Zombies gameplay only, not Campaign," Treyarch wrote on the "Call of Duty" community blog.

"The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player coop Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware," the studio continued.
