Various sources are reporting that Apple is preparing to officially release the upcoming iPad Pro next week.

Details of the release are still unclear but the device is expected to go on sale at a starting price of $799.

As noted by tech news site 9to5Mac, the iPad Pro was unveiled by the Cupertino-based firm in September. Based on the company's presentation, its latest slate comes with various new accessories. These include the Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard.

The former item is a stylus with pressure-sensitive sensors that are capable of detecting various factors such as force applied and positioning.

According to Mac Rumors, the Apple Pencil was specifically designed to aid digital artists due to its accuracy, which can let users touch a single pixel on the iPad Pro's display.

The Smart Keyboard, on the other hand, is actually a Smart Cover with an integrated keyboard panel. Similar to Microsoft's Surface Pro laplets, the Smart Keyboard converts the iPad Pro from a tablet into a laptop. As a Smart Cover, it can also be used to prop up the tablet for practical purposes.

The keyboard does not have its own power source but can connect to Apple's latest slate to run on its battery.

These two items, the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, will be sold separately and can be respectively purchased for $99 and $169 when the iPad Pro officially debuts in stores, Mac World reported.

As for other features of the device, the iPad Pro sports a 12.9-inch display with a resolution of 2732x2048 pixels. It is powered by the latest A9X 64-bit processor, which is 1.8 times faster that iPad Air 2's A8X chipset.

For its camera configurations, Apple equipped the iPad Pro with an 8-megapixel main shooter paired with a 1.2-megapixel secondary snapper.

According to rumors, the iPad Pro will go on sale through Apple's online stores and physical shops on November 11. It is not yet confirmed if the company will allow pre-orders for the device in the U.S. but some retailers in Europe have already started accepting orders for the new tablet model ahead of its release.

The basic model of the iPad Pro, which features 32GB of internal storage and Wi-Fi-only connectivity, will debut with a price of $799. The mid-range variant with 128GB of memory and Wi-Fi-only features, will be priced at $949.

The premium model, on the other hand, will be sold at $1,079. This packs 128GB of internal storage and features Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity options.
