As the official release date of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' draws near, actors Harrison Ford and Adam Driver are also looking forward to that time when fans get to see their roles in the highly-anticipated movie.

In an interview with Empire Magazine, Ford and Driver were asked about their experiences playing Han Solo and Kylo Ren, respectively, in the first film of the new "Star Wars' trilogy.

When asked about his character's onscreen bond with fan-favorite Wookie Chewbacca, Ford replied, "They were very much like an old married couple to start with. I think people will find them very much the same as ever."

Although it has been more than three decades since Ford partnered with Peter Maychew, he said things have remained the same and that they carried on with where they left off.

"We still have the same bond, we look after each other. We are like a married couple! Especially when we're in the cockpit together. I like it," the 73-year-old actor shared.

As for Driver, the 32-year-old actor discussed how the cast members got together in such a way that reminded him of his experience in the U.S. Marines.

"It's a group of strangers forced to be intimate in a short amount of time. A group of people trying to accomplish a mission greater than themselves. It's not about you," he revealed. "You have to know your role within a team and there's someone who's leading it and, if you're lucky, they know what they're doing."

The San Diego native also said that taking on the role of the villainous Kylo Ren brought on its challenges. He had positive words for the original trilogy, praising the portrayal of Darth Vader whose thinking could always be felt in a powerful manner despite being a masked character.

Driver previously discussed his own dark character, saying that he considers Kylo Ren as more of a religious enthusiast as opposed to being a downright villain.

"When they think of their actions as morally justified," he said. "It makes them dangerous and unpredictable. There's no level they won't go to to accomplish what they're after. I never thought of the character as an evil person."

The actor's statement was released by Empire alongside the recently unveiled photo of Kylo Ren as he is flanked by a pair of Stormtroopers and what seemingly is the Jakku marketplace burns in the background.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens' is set to hit cinemas on Dec. 18.
