The European division of Sony is currently offering a new discount promo exclusively for PlayStation 4 console owners.

As part of the deal, gamers are entitled to receive one free game if they purchase a title using Sony's special discount code.

According to an update on the PlayStation Blog, shoppers on Sony's PlayStation Store can use the code J7P8G8P3DH to take advantage of the buy-one-get-one-free promo that is being offered until December 24. For the promo, gamers can choose from a list of 25 titles.

Some of the games featured in Sony's latest discount deal for the PlayStation 4 are "The Last of Us Remastered," "The Order: 1886," "Watch Dogs Complete Edition," "Payday 2: Crimewave Edition," "EA Sports UFC," "The LEGO Movie Videogame" and "Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor Legion Edition."

Purchasing any one of these games will entitle gamers to choose another title for free using the special code.

Of course, this isn't the only deal that gamers can enjoy this holiday season. Not to be outdone by its rival, Microsoft recently announced that it has extended its Black Friday bundle discount promo.

From now up to December 26, gamers in the U.S. can choose from different Xbox One bundle deals starting at $300 to $450.

According to BGR, the packages included in the sale are the Xbox One Limited Edition "Halo 5: Guardians," Xbox One Elite Bundle, Xbox One 1TB Holiday Bundle, Xbox One "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition," Xbox One "Rise of the Tomb Raider," Xbox One "The LEGO Movie Videogame," "Xbox One Special Edition "Gears of War," Xbox One with Kinect, Xbox One "Fallout 4" Bundle, Xbox One Limited Edition "Forza Motorsport 6" Console, Xbox One "Madden NFL 16" Bundle and the Xbox One "FIFA 16" 1TB Bundle.

Microsoft decided to re-launch its Black Friday Bundle deals after seeing to how consumers responded to the original promo. As noted by Variety, during the massive holiday sale, sales for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 games through the Xbox Store increased by 57 percent. Likewise, subscriptions for Xbox Live Gold in the U.S. jumped by more than 40 percent.

By reviving the Black Friday discount promo, it seems Microsoft want to further capitalize on the spending spree of consumers. But aside from the current deals, the tech giant will also launch another promo which will run from December 22 to January 7 and fill feature over 200 discounted games.
