It was a pretty intense moment with Daisy Ridley's Rey touched Luke Skywalker's lightsaber for the first time in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

She was given visions of Skywalker patting R2D2 and Adam Driver's Kylo Ren with his acolytes on a planet with heavy rain. What's even more interesting about the visions, according to director J.J. Abrams is that it showed the cameos of some well-known "Star Wars" characters such as Ewan McGregor's Obi Wan Kenobi and Frank Oz's Yoda.

"The idea of the voices was, we wanted the audience to feel - but not necessarily be presented right in your face - this idea that familiar, Force-strong voices were connecting with her. At least as well as they could...You do hear a little bit of Yoda. You hear Luke yelling out, 'Nooo!' from that moment in Empire. And you hear Obi-Wan at the end say, 'Rey, these are your first steps...'" Abrams told Collider.

"Here's the cool part. We asked Ewan McGregor to come in and do the line. And he was awesome and we were very grateful. He was incredibly sweet and handsome, and all that stuff. Then he rode off on his motorcycle. Literally the coolest voice over actor ever," he added.

This is similar to Oz lending his voice as Yoda to enrich Rey's visions in the film.

"He was incredibly generous and came in to Bad Robot, where we had a recording area, and he was doing Yoda, saying a number of lines we gave to him...This whole experience has been one outrageous moment after another. Just watching Frank Oz, you look at him and talk to him and his voice is very deep. I don't know why I would have thought he sounded like Miss Piggy!" said Abrams. "He was very generous to say, 'Whatever makes the movie better, I'm happy to help out.'"

Even "James Bond" star Daniel Craig helped enrich the film by making a cameo, although only his most die-hard fans might have noticed who he portrayed.

Craig was not physically recognizable in the film because he portrayed a stormtrooper. Specifically, he was the stormtrooper that Rey tried to convince help her escape.

"You will remove these restraints and leave this cell with the door open," Rey told him. And his character responds, "I'll tighten those restraints, scavenger scum." In the end though, Rey's mind manipulation was too much for him to resist and he caved in to her demands.
