Dark Souls

A couple of days ago, the minimum and recommended system requirements of the next installment in the "Souls" series were leaked through its Steam page.

However, the post was immediately taken down and "Dark Souls III" developer FromSoftware announced that the leaked specs are not yet final.

This means, according to the developer, is that the actual requirements of the game could still change before its official release. But, gamers can still probably refer to the system requirements just to get an idea if they're PCs will be able to run the game or not.

Below are the minimum and recommended specs of the PC version of "Dark Souls III" as reported by Eurogamer.

Minimum System Requirements:

Operating System: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 10 64-bit

Based on the listed specs above, it seems "Dark Souls III" is not too demanding especially compared to other titles available today. Specifically, some of the specs mentioned under the minimum requirements such as processor and graphics card are not that high and came out a couple of years ago.

But, some of the game's requirements, such as the RAM and storage space, are a bit steep even on minimum settings.

However, gamers should probably consider these requirement settings as mere guidelines only since FromSoftware had already stated that these are not yet final.

"While launching the 'Dark Souls III' Steam Page, some PC requirements were posted by mistake," the studio said in a Facebook post. "These are not representative of the game's final specifications. We look forward to sharing those details in the coming months."

Based on the developer's post, it seems the listed specs for the PC version of the game could either go higher or lower.

"Dark Souls III" is set to come out on April 12, 2016. Aside from the Microsoft Windows, the game will also arrive for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.
