FC Barcelona Transfer: Paul Pogba Leaving Juventus for Barca?

Paul Pogba Transfer

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is continuously being linked to a move to FC Barcelona after the 2015-16 season, but agent Mino Raiola played down speculation about the future of the France international.

Previous reports indicated that FC Barcelona, the reigning Spanish La Liga champions and Champions League holders, are favored to land the French midfielder next summer.

However, Raiola insisted that all reports about Pogba's future are not accurate at this point because the 22-year-old is focused on his campaign with Juventus. The agent said that if there is a list of Pogba's preferred destination, Juventus will still be on top of the hierarchy.

"Are Barcelona in pole position to sign him? The only team ahead of the others is Juventus," Raiola told Tuttosport via ESPN FC on Thursday. "Paul has a strong connection with Juve. Paul is the type of guy who thinks things through and he thinks with his heart."

Pogba, who moved to Juventus in 2012 after playing one season with Manchester United, is in contract with the Italian Serie A club until after the 2019 season. However, most fans and analysts expect the midfielder to move out of Juventus to sign with a bigger club.

Pogba, who helped Juventus reach the Champions League final last season, almost left the Italian Serie A club last summer but opted to stay put. Raiola said that they are expecting big offers again next summer.

"The big clubs will come knocking for Paul again at the end of the season," Raiola said. "I don't know how much chance Juventus have of holding on to him. Paul will make a decision based on the offers he receives and based on how he feels."

Raiola thinks Juventus, particularly club president Andrea Agnelli, want to keep Pogba in Turin, but he is unsure if the club can afford to spend the needed amount to beat other team's bid in the offseason.

"Paul is like a limited edition Ferrari, there are only a few who can afford him," Raiola continued. "I don't think €100 million will be enough to sign him, but it depends on Agnelli. He has grown as a player and his price will have grown as well."
