After the first two episodes of TLC's "Jill & Jessa: Counting On' placed the spotlight on Josh Duggar, the spinoff to the now off-air '19 Kids and Counting' ended on a light note after Jessa Duggar-Seewald's labor and childbirth were featured.

Jessa was shown going into labor for 48 hours before finally welcoming her first baby with husband, Ben.

"As labor was ramping up, she was in pain, so I was feeling the pain too," he said in the episode.

To distract his wife's attention from her difficult labor, Ben opened up about his dream for his family and admitted to Jessa that he wants to have 19 sons. The 23-year-old mother was evidently happy to agree with her husband's idea and said "I think it would be awesome! I'd love to have 15 sons!"

The Christian couple also discussed their idea of considering adoption to have a sibling for their baby boy, who they named Spurgeon Elliott. Jessa shared how she felt pity for the children when she and Jill visited an orphanage.

"It was heartbreaking to leave those kids," she told Ben.

In turn, he added that he had "always thought it would be kind of cool" to adopt a child.

However, the Seewald couple are not the only members of the Duggar family who are considering adoption. Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, also admitted in the three-part docu-series that they have also thought about such option.

"I can definitely relate to Jessa and Ben's desire to adopt and to meet those needs. We both think it's a wonderful thing. We've talked about it a lot and are definitely considering it," said Jill, who is currently in Central America for missionary work.

"We came to Central America as a family of three and we could go home as a family of four. But I'm not pregnant!" she said, teasing about the idea of having to adopt a baby from El Salvador.

During the "Jill & Jessa: Counting On' finale, Jessa gave birth to a baby boy but was later rushed to the hospital due to heavy blood loss. Seeing her sister in the state, Jana confesses that she panicked.

"There have been probably a couple of births that I have seen where a mum has just a little more blood than what she should. But in this case, I think this was the most that I'd seen," Jessa's sister, Jana Duggar, shared, describing her experience of having to watch her sister be taken away in an ambulance.

The special TLC series ended with Jessa giving her son the name Spurgeon Elliot Seewald.
