Former world champion Adrien Broner wants to have a big fight this year and is being linked to several fighters, including Floyd Mayweather, Danny Garcia and Kell Brook.

Broner improved his record to 32-2 with 24 knockouts after scoring a ninth-round stoppage victory against Ashley Theophane on Saturday in Washington.

Following the win, Broner called out Floyd Mayweather, who threw barbs at his former protégée before the bout. The 26-year-old responded to the tirades and said that Mayweather will not be 50-0 if he decides to face him later this year, BoxingScene reported.

Reacting to Broner's challenge, Mayweather expressed no desire to face the Ohio native. But even if Broner gets a shot at the former pound-for-pound king, veteran trainer Robert Garcia thinks the former junior welterweight champion has no chances against Mayweather, who is considered by many as the greatest boxer in history.

"I don't think so. I think Mayweather wins convincingly. I would watch it. It would be interesting," Garcia said in a recent interview with BoxingScene.

If the Mayweather fight becomes unavailable, Broner also expressed desire to face new World Boxing Council welterweight champion Danny Garcia, who won the title via unanimous decision over Robert Guerrero in January.

Broner, who will move to the welterweight division in his next fight, said that he is good friend of Garcia, but he is willing to set aside their friendship because he wants to face the best fighters in the 147-pound division.

"This is a business, this is a business," Broner said, when asked about facing Garcia. "At the end of the day, if me and Danny fight - we fight. But I respect Danny and love everything he's doing and want him to keep winning. I'm willing to fight anybody man. I'm trying to be the best ever, the best ever."

A fight against Kell Brook is also on the horizon for Broner if he decides to chase a world title. Brook, who has a perfect 36-0 record, is the reigning International Boxing Federation welterweight champion.

However, promoter Eddie Hearn does not think Broner is willing to face Brook, knowing that the British boxing superstar is capable of giving him a beating if they collide soon.

"Adrien Broner would not fight Kell Brook in a million years at 147-pounds," Hearn said. "He would get absolutely destroyed against Kell Brook. You don't play with Kell Brook by coming in ill prepared, heavy. This kid has got it all."

Brook successfully defended his title on March 26, scoring a second-round knockout win against Kevin Bizier at Sheffield Arena in Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
