Mnet's "Super Star K 6", considered the largest and most popular audition program for rookie singers in South Korea has finalized its top 8 contestants. The panel of judges announced that Brian Park, one of the contestants will no longer be able to compete, and announced that Jin Eon Kwak, Feel Kim, Yu bin Song, Woo Ran Jang, "Bustered", Jun Hee Lee, Do Hyeok Lim, "MICA" are the last remaining survivors. Many music fans are greatly anticipating about who will be crowned the 6th champion of "Super Star K6".

On the 17th, Mnet released the latest episode of this audition program. The theme of this week's episode was "love songs". The first participant to perform before the judges was Do Hyeok Lim who was on the verge of being disqualified in the previous episode for his performance. The song he had chosen was "Kiss Me" by Jin-young Park, who is currently the CEO of JYP Entertainment. He was awarded 374 points for his selection of the song and preparation.

Jun Hee Lee chose Jin-sup Byun's "To You Again", singing about memories of a first love. The judges told Lee after his performance that he needs to work on his tone which sounded rather unstable, and his style sounded rather monotonous. In the end however, Lee was awarded 340 points.

"Bustered" showed off a remake of the song "Mona Lisa" by the legendary Korean singer, "Jo Yong Pil". The judges however were not too happy with the finished product, telling the band that the genre of rock did not suit the atmosphere and style of the original song. At the same time though they called "Bustered" a band "with the basics" and awarded them 348 points. "MICA", a female group of 4 Filipino artists chose "Relation" by Sunhee Lee. However, the reactions of the panel to their performance were very similar to that of "Bustered".

Feel Kim on the other hand, received highly positive reviews. His song of choice was "Waiting" by Seong-yeol Lee. The judges went as far as to say that their hearts were pounding while he was singing, and that they would love to continue hearing his voice on the stage of "Super Star K". Yu Bin Song, Woo Ram Jang, and Jin Eon Kwak, all received similar reviews in that they all showed some difficulty with live performaces.

Brian Park however, was not able to meet the standards of the panel of judges. He sang his own version of John Legend's "All of Me", but the judges criticized the performance by telling him they could not find a climax throughout the song. He ended up getting the lowest score among the remaining 9 contestants (340) and was eliminated from the audition.

There are still 35 days to the end of the audition, with many fans happily rooting their favorite contestants.
