Election Day Begins, and Koreatown Voters Take to the Polls

Election day has come, and citizens across the nation have already taken to the polls to put in their votes. Voters in Koreatown, Los Angeles have been lining up at Mi Joo Yang Kog Church on Western Avenue before going into work at 8 AM. This year, California voters will be making decisions not only on the next U.S. President, but also members of the California State Assembly and Senate, judges of the Superior Court, mayors, and city council members. Korean Americans are up for election in many of those positions, including Young Kim, Peter Kim, Kevin Park, Megan Yoo Schneider, Genii Ahn, Jessica Cha, David Chae, Steven Choi, and Susan Jung Townsend.
