Christianity Daily Presents Awards to Seminary Students

Christianity Daily, in partnership with with United Breakthrough Ministries (UBM) and Bliss Travel, hosted an essay competition for which participants were required to attend a seminar on the Old Testament and submit an essay in response to the seminar.

Thirteen individuals were given awards, five of whom were present at the ceremony on Monday morning. The winner of the first place award, Jae Hwan Choi from Gateway Seminary, will be receiving a used car, while winners of the second and third place awards, Hyun Ae Lee from Biola University's Talbot School of Theology (second place), Daniel Noh from Gateway Seminary (tied for third), and Timothy Song from Fuller Theological Seminary (tied for third), received monetary awards of $1,000 and $500 respectively. Seung Kwon Myung from Grace Mission University, who received the "special award,' received a plane ticket to Kentucky as well as a ticket to tour the Ark Encounter exhibit which opened earlier this year.

Rev. Andrew Kim, the senior pastor of UBM, and Rev. David B. Oh, the senior pastor of Southern California Bethel Church who is also the chairman of the board for this newspaper, were also present at the ceremony and presented awards.
