Iranian American Pastor Saeed Abedini dreamt that he was freed from prison and in America by his daughter’s 9th birthday. His wife Naghmeh Abedini told CBN news about Saeed’s dream on Thursday, July 16. Saeed is currently serving an eight year prison sentence in a prison in Karaj, Iran.

The western branches of Milal Mission will be holding a service camp for those who are disabled. Branches in southern California, northern California, Seattle, and Vancouver are among some of the branches that are coming together to hold the "Camp AGAPE" that will be taking place from June 25 to 27, themed, "Let's See the World!" The camp will be taking place at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The theme verse for this year's camp is "You are the light of the world," based on Matthew 5:14.
AMP, a collective of three hip hop artists James Han, Samuel Ock, and Chung Lee, is among the most well-known Korean Christian hip hop artists today. Their beginnings stem from Youtube videos of "Never Change," and "See You in Heaven," songs created out of a collaboration between the three artists. The videos received explosive grassroots support. In four months since the initial upload, "Never Change" received over 100,000 views, and today, the video has over 1.5 million views. The three artists, who saw that they had similar desires and callings, decided to form the collaborative, "AMP," in 2010.
A Korean Christian TV broadcasting company called CTS America hosted its fifth annual fundraising concert on Saturday, 7:30 PM at Bethel Korean Church in Irvine, CA. A unique aspect of the concert, called, the "Hope-Giving Concert," is that all of the performers participate in the concert free of charge, allowing all of the funds to go directly to the community and mission work.

The members of Lord Jesus Korean Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) invited and were able to fellowship with 35 women who are homeless from June 6 to 13. This is the 11th year that Lord Jesus Church participated in this room and board ministry for those who are homeless, as a part of CARITAS (Congregations Around Richmond Involved To Assure Shelter). CARITAS (which, in Latin, means 'charity,' or 'Christ's love toward people') is a unique ministry that partners with 155 volunteers in churches and non-profit organizations in Richmond to take care of various groups of those who are homeless, including women's groups, men's groups, and familial groups.
Amy Jang, the president of the non-profit organization ‘Youth Hope Summit,’ hosted an event on June 3 in which pairs of sneakers were given to 155 students of low-income families in the “LA’s BEST” program, an after school enrichment program at Hobart Elementary School in Los Angeles. The week prior, Youth Hope Summit also donated shoes to 17 students at Golden Hill Elementary School in Fullerton, CA.
After nearly a year-long battle, high school senior Michael Leal won a lawsuit against his school district. The student was suspended from school three times for sharing the gospel message about Jesus. The federal court ruled that Cascade High School had violated the U.S. Constitution.
Compassion Korea Hosts North Korea Ministry Summit; Speaker Shares the Need for the Gospel to Be Shown with Action and Humility
The North Korea Ministry Summit, a two-day conference hosted by Compassion International's Korea branch, began on June 8 with some 1,100 attendees. The summit focused on the theme, '3 Firsts (First Frontier, First Generation, First Action),' and has three main sessions, eight breakout sessions, and a finale session.
Such were the fears of *Noushin, a house church leader in Iran who shared her story with Open Doors USA, a non-profit organization serving persecuted Christians all over the world. However, when Noushin was arrested and placed in solitary confinement, she found that her actions differed from her fears. She was able to share the gospel with the interrogator she met in prison.
On May 30, Church of Joy, located in Koreatown, Los Angeles, hosted “New Life Festival,” a gospel outreach night, to bring the love of Christ to the unbelieving and the unchurched. With the help of a parachurch organization, Korea Campus Crusade for Christ (KCCC), and various artists, the night presented the gospel through different media besides preaching from the Word.
A prayer vigil on behalf of Pastor Saeed Abedini, who has been imprisoned in Iran for over two years, will be taking place in front of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday morning, an hour before Naghmeh Abedini, Pastor Saeed Abedini's wife, will be testifying before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and petitioning for the release of Americans who are detained in Iran.
