Missions Madness is a fundraising event supporting the mission ministry at Hope Presbyterian Church EM which will take place at Rothman Center.
Missions Madness is a simple concept that was initiated in 2007 which take people¡¯s love of basketball and love for God, toss in some healthy competition, and get a basketball tournament that has an eternal impact to the Kingdom of God. This is the second year of Missions Madness which is hosted by Hope Presbyterian Church EM at Fairleigh Dickinson University¡¯s Rothman Center, located in Hackensack, NJ on May 10th.
Hope Presbyterian Church has a clear vision, to become a vibrant church that loves God and His people, united under the cause of Christ- overflowing with compassion for all of creation, planting communities of healing and restoration near and far and harvesting worship for the everlasting Kingdom of God. As a result the missions program is dedicated to going out into our local and global communities so that everyone can experience the love of Christ. In July the Hope Presbyterian Church will be sending out teams to China and to the Ivory Coast, to witness and partake in the truly exciting revival that God has started and is fueling in these two countries.
There are a total of 32 teams that is participating in the basketball tournament with $180 entry fee per team, maximum number on each team is 10 people. There will also be 22-30 volunteers to help out during the event.
All the proceeds and donations gathered at the event will be used towards the mission ministry. Last year through the first Missions Madness gathered about $5,000. The fund will used to support church plant, medical mission, and long and short term missionaries in China and Ivory Coast. Currently Hope Presbyterian Church EM is planting a church together with International Ministries at Ivory Coast. There are 3 churches Onnuri Church in Korea, Church of Love in Philadelphia, Onnuri Church in New Jersey networking together for Ivory Coast missions.
