The upcoming downloadable content for "Hyrule Warriors" will include a special playable character that will surely surprise "Legend of Zelda" fans, Eurogamer reported.
The Boss Pack DLC, which will arrive on March 12, will feature Cucco, the giant chicken-like creature from the "Zelda" games.
However, Cucco can only be unlocked by players through Ganon, another new character that's included in the DLC. Ganon is the main villain and final boss from the "Zelda" games. In the Boss Pack, gamers can play as Ganon in his humanoid form and in his giant beast mode, according to Polygon.
As Ganon, gamers need to score an "A" ranking in the character's survival mode missions. Once this is achieved, the giant chicken will automatically be unlocked.
Although Cucco does not look too intimidating as a playable character, it can attack using its beak and even summon smaller cuccos by flapping its wings to swarm the enemies. In addition, the character also has the ability to inflict damages by head butting and roaring loudly.
Aside from Cucco and Ganon, Boss Pack also adds a new mode called the Boss Challenge. This mode enables gamers to fight against giant bosses to unlock new costumes for the playable characters.
The Boss Pack is the fourth and final DLC for "Hyrule Warriors." It will be released in North America this month and can be purchased for $2.99. Gamers can also get the DLC bundle pack, which includes all four content updates, for $20, according to Game Spot.
"Hyrule Warriors" was released in August and September of 2014 exclusively for the Wii U platform. Two game studios, namely Nintendo and Koei Temco, collaborated to develop the title.
The game incorporates a hack-and-slash type of game play and is set inside the universe of the "Legend of Zelda" franchise. Aside from the setting, it also features characters from the popular game series.
