When people talk about Justin Bieber nowadays, they concentrate more on his wild antics rather than his musical career, but the Canadian artist has expressed his desire to turn his life around and grow up into the kind of person people will be proud of.

One of the persons Bieber wants to impress is his mother, Pattie Mallette. Because of the singer's lavish and crazy lifestyle, he and his mother's relationship suffered.

"We lost our relationship for a while. She couldn't really tell me anything; she would try, but I wasn't listening to anybody and that sort of sucked. But our relationship is getting better now; we're getting it back," he told USA Today.

That's not the only change Bieber had with his relationships. He shared that he "left a lot of people behind," particularly those who were not on the same journey he was on.

Now, Bieber is more concerned about surrounding himself with people who will push him to become a better person. "I've got a lot of new people in my life who are pouring into me, and not taking away from me," he said.

He and fellow artist and actress, Selena Gomez, have had a very tumultuous relationship, breaking up then getting back together repeatedly. The two are definitely not together now and Bieber believes it is time he get his act together before getting into another relationship.

Bieber said he is not looking for a girlfriend at this point in his life, since it would be unfair if he will not be able to give himself "100 percent" to the other person. Should the day come when he is ready to get into a relationship, the pop star hopes to find a girl he can trust and lean on.

"This business is hard, and I want someone I can confide in," he said.

A lot of people might think that Bieber's life is pretty easy since he has everything he wants, but he says that is not actually the case. Bieber said he has no privacy and he grew up in front of the camera. He encountered a lot of setbacks in his life and the whole world have been judging him for his mistakes.

However, he guarantees that people will soon see the change in him.

"I think that people realize, they see it now, the transition. We can talk and do interviews and I can say I'm in a better place, but until they see the walk, and see the transition come to life, that's what's really going to matter," he said.
