‘Minecraft’ Xbox One Updates & Download: Gamers To Enjoy Better Graphics & Bigger Maps on Xbox One Edition

After Microsoft acquired "Minecraft" maker Mojang in 2014, the tech giant promised gamers that it will take care of their beloved virtual sandbox game.

Now, through recent updates for the "Minecraft: Xbox One" edition, Microsoft has delivered better game play experience for owners of the company's next-gen console.

For one, Microsoft has included bigger multiplayer maps for the Xbox One version of the game. To give players enough room to build their virtual worlds, the company has introduced maps that are 36 times bigger than those featured in "Minecraft" for the Xbox 360 console, The Fuse Joplin reported.

Microsoft was able to increase the size of the maps by removing certain restrictions on the game. In addition, the company has improved the game's line of sight. This means players can now see across a wider distance to check out the world around them.

Aside from the bigger maps and a wider view, the company also tweaked certain technical aspects of "Minecraft: Xbox One." The game's frame rate has now been enhanced to eliminate slow loading times. In addition, its resolution was also improved in order to match a television set's resolution.

Owners of Microsoft's other console, the Xbox 360, can still enjoy the features of the "Minecraft: Xbox One" edition by downloading the paid update to upgrade their game.

Although Xbox 360 gamers can still access and use the worlds they created when playing with the Xbox One update, they won't be able to fully enjoy the bigger maps. Even though Microsoft has removed the restrictions for the map sizes, those limits still apply to the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Microsoft noted that the latest update will not be the last for the Xbox One edition of "Minecraft." The company is currently planning on releasing other patches and upgrades for the game in the near future. One of these involves improving the game's multiplayer mode, according to Press and Update.
