While fans and followers of the Green Lantern have been busy speculating on the potential plot of the rumored reboot of the franchise, Tyrese Gibson fuels the debate and drops an additional bombshell linked to the project via social media. In an interview with ET Online, Gibson gave out some subtle hints with regard his possible involvement on the film.

"There are certain things I can't speak on," the actor told ET during an interview held at the listening party for his new album, called "Black Rose." He added, "But I will say, however this works out, it's definitely the fans' fault. I was at home minding my own business and fans start creating these fan-made videos of me as Green Lantern and I looked into it."

Admitting that he is definitely a fan of Green Lantern, Gibson also revealed that he was already invited to a meeting with the executives at Warner. While he remained mum on the specifics of the said discussion, he hinted that he talked about "certain things" with the bosses.

He shared, "I've been a fan of the Green Lantern." The "Fast and Furious" star added, "I took the oath, and I had a meeting at Warner Bros. and certain things were said and talked about. We'll just see what happens."

Although no official confirmation has been made, it appears that the star is not yet done teasing his fans on his potential casting as the Green Lantern. In what appeared to be a fan art for the rumored reboot, the actor's picture, where he was edited to look like John Stewart, was placed beside another fan made poster that featured Chris Pine as Hal Jordan. Both Jordan and Stewart are potential identities of the Green Lantern. Should the rumors be proven correct, then multiple characters will be expected to play the DC superhero. Gibson posted the fan made poster in his Instagram account.

In the comic books series, Stewart is described as the backup for Jordan. He is identified as "a skin for Green Lantern." In addition, "he is classified as a Power User, using his power ring to create any object he imagines into solid green light. He is the compatibility skin for Martian Manhunter."

Meanwhile, Gibson showed off his assets in a bid to presumably cement his spot as part of the Green Lantern reboot. "Listen, these muscles are here and they're ready to be used," he said during the ET Online interview. He added, "There are lot of people, domestically and internationally, who's got love with your boy."

To further prove his capacity to handle the role, Gibson alluded to the success of his recent film venture, "The Fast and the Furious 7," which broke records within days since it hit theatres. He pitched, "I'm coming into this thing with some fans and some box office receipts behind my name and I say that proudly and humbly." He continued to say, "I just think I deserve a shot at suiting up and becoming the Green Lantern."
