Numerous "Star Wars' fans have been questioning the whereabouts of Obi-Wan Kenobi all this time, particularly with the events between "Episode III- Revenge of the Sith' and "Episode IV- A New Hope.' Fortunately, Marvel has unveiled a new comic book from Marvel that will shed light on how the Jedi Master paved the way for his survival in these episodes.

Played by Ewan McGregor in the film versions, Obi-Wan Kenobi heads out on his own after protecting the twins, Luke and Leia, from their father Anakin Skywalker, who had become Darth Vader following the events in "Revenge of the Sith.'

The original "A New Hope' film had shown "Ben' Kenobi, portrayed by Alec Guinness, as an elder Jedi living in isolation in Tatooine until he is forced to join the Rebel cause once more after crossing paths with the older Luke.

Kenobi meets his death at the hands of Vader in "A New Hope', and which might be the part where the comic book "Star Wars #7" begins.

As pointed out in the book's description on the official Marvel site, Skywalker stumbles upon Kenobi's journals when he returns to Tattooine after the events that take place in "A New Hope.'

The writings he discovers are his own master's experiences on such planet "at a time when injustice reigned."

As stated in the synopsis: "As villainous scum runs rampant over the blistering sands, only a Jedi Master stands any hope of liberating the planet from the grasp of gangs, thieves and thugs. But would Ben risk everything to do what was right? Even if it meant revealing himself to those searching for his whereabouts?"

Meanwhile, the force remains strong with McGregor as the 44-year-old actor revealed during a Q&A session at the Edinburgh Film Festival that he would be "happy" if given the opportunity to return and reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in future "Star Wars' films.

As Disney continues with its approach of developing standalone projects in between installments of a new trilogy, it is possible that McGregor's concept for a movie that follows the story of the Jedi knight's adventures during Episodes III and IV could soon be taken into consideration.

Meanwhile, the "Trainspotting' star looks forward to catching the new "Star Wars' installment that will shed light on recurring actors and newcomers alike.

"It's not a fanatical thing," the Scottish actor said. "I'm really pleased I'm part of the legacy of it and happy to see it and I've seen the trailer and it looks like they've absolutely nailed it."

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens' is scheduled to hit cinemas on Dec. 18, 2015 while the next installment, 'Star Wars: Episode VIII', is set for a premiere on May 26, 2017.

Moreover, "Star Wars: Rogue One', one of Disney's standalone films in between episodes, will make its way to the big screen on Dec. 16, 2016.
