No matter what movie Ron Perlman sets out to make, people are still pretty curious about his stint as Hellboy and kept asking again and again if there's any chance for a "Hellboy 3."

The actor would like to believe so, because he feels fans deserve an ending to the saga they started. He might feel a certain responsibility finishing Hellboy's story, but that does not mean he would like to do it, given the amount of effort it takes to dress up as the red-horned hero.

"Let me make the record clear," Perlman told Slash Film. "I don't want to do 'Hellboy 3.' It's a pain... to put that makeup on and take it off. But I feel we're obligated to finish the story. That's it. End of conversation."

However, the franchise's director Guillermo del Toro admitted that they are having a hard time getting financing for "Hellboy 3." Luckily though, Perlman has no problem bringing the subject up.

"I got no problems with forcing the conversation, as you can tell," the actor said. "We're in the business of moving mountains. Those of us who are used to working in mainstream film and television. Don't come to me with details and problems. Just tell me how we move the mountain."

Should "Hellboy 3" push through, del Torro said that it's important they get it done as soon as possible, since the lead star is already in his 60s, and any more later, then they would have difficulty filming action sequences.

The director told Yahoo, "We better do it quick. Ron is no spring chicken, and soon enough he's going to be Hellboy in a Barcalounger, changing channels, ordering from shopping networks."

But Perlman disagrees with del Torro, saying that he is never too old to play Hellboy and that there will not be a cut-off date for him, even if it means shooting the scenes with certain added props.

"Because del Toro says: Put the makeup on, you can shoot me in a wheelchair and I'll still be Hellboy," Perlman said. "I guess the only cut-off point is when they actually close the box. If you don't see me get up and go, 'Hang on, I was kidding,' then I'm still ready."

Even without "Hellboy 3," neither Perlman nor del Torro is lacking for work. Aside from starring in movies, Perlman is venturing into producing films himself.

"I just launched my own movie studio so we have four things in production right now," Perlman said. "We're putting three or four more in production as we speak so it's going to be an amazing year."
