Henry Cavill, who takes on a special role in the upcoming thriller "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,' has landed on the cover of Men's Health U.K. and opened up about movie roles and his workout routine.

"We knew "Batman v Superman' was happening immediately afterwards, so we were prepping for that at the same time: doing enough heavy stuff that I was ready to make the switch without putting on muscle," Cavill shared.

The 32-year-old actor went into detail about maintaining his weight and other means of preparing for a Superman body.

"Plus we had to keep me at a certain weight and make sure I didn't blow up and get fat - which is easy to do when you're under stress and you want to have a drink at the weekend," he added.

Despite the force and energy that need to go into these workouts, Cavill said he takes pleasure in training.

"I like hard work. I really, really like it, because it makes me feel like I've achieved something for the day," the "Tudors' alum shared. "It was great to go and train this morning....Doing the right thing releases the right chemicals."

Sharing his sentiments about social media, Cavill went on to slam people who cheat when it comes to hitting the gym.

"There's this thing of putting workout quotes on Instagram and Facebook... It's just people bluffing, making themselves look cool by repeating someone who worked really hard. Why don't you just do the thing, and not say it?," the "Man of Steel' star asserted.

This has not been the first time that Cavill needed to hit the gym for an onscreen role.

In 2013, the Englishman made his first appearance in Superman's timeless costume for "Man Of Steel'; director Zack Snyder paired the actor with trainer Mark Twight, the same trainer who worked with actor Gerard Butler to make the necessary physical preparations in becoming Spartan king for his role in the film "300.'

In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cavill shared about film opportunities for his superhero character, but believes that following Superman's story can become a huge challenge.

"There's plenty of time for individual Superman sequels," the actor told EW. "He's a tough character to tell. People like the darker vigilante. I think it speaks to the human psyche more easily rather than the god-like being that we can't really understand.

He also opened up about creating a world wherein his character can be given more opportunities, saying, "Once we have a more expansive universe we can delve more into the character of Superman and hopefully tell more stories."

Despite no details of having another of his own official film soon, fans can look forward to Cavill's appearance as the last son of Krypton in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.' He has also signed on for "Justice League Part One' in November 2017 and "Justice League Part Two' in June 2019.

Meanwhile, the Guy Ritchie-helmed film "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.' makes its way to theaters on Aug. 14.
